Kiwanis Honors West Geauga High School
Students
of the Month
September 2011
SHAWN
COOPER has been honored as West Geauga High School Student of the Month
for September, 2011.
Shawn is an active member in Robotics Club,
Lacrosse, Student Council and Student Representative for the District
Communications Committee. For community service, Shawn dedicates
his time to the Wetlands Education Committee and has been monumental in
building three outdoor classrooms. Shawn's honors/awards consist
of the President's Environmental Youth Board, Lexus CCO Challenge, Take
Pride in America, Sea World Environmental Youth Award, National
Wildlife Foundation Youth Award and the U.S. Army First Tech Challenge
(Regional Champion). Shawn's post-high school plans include
applying to Carnegie Mellon, University of Pennsylvania,University of
Michigan, Case Western Reserve University, Georgia Tech, Franklin W.
Olin College of Engineering, Northwestern and OSU. He plans on
studying Computer Engineering, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering.

JOSH
SUBA has been honored as West Geauga High School Student of the Month
for October, 2011.
Josh
is an active member of Student Council, Football and Track. He
was Treasurer of HUGGS and is a post-secondary education student at
Lakeland. For community service, Josh volunteers his time at the
Pancake Breakfasts, is involved in the Leadership Team Youth Group at
his church, and helps at the City Mission in downtown Cleveland.
Josh has also been involved in helping out at Camp Barnabas, a special
needs camp in Missouri. Josh's honors/awards consist of having
one of his artworks chosen to be displayed for art night at Springhill
Suites. Josh's post-high school plans include applying to the
Ohio State University, Akron University, Kent University and
Ursuline. He plans on studying Nursing.
